Business Retention & Expansion Training

The RDI is delivering Business Retention & Expansion (BRE) training in collaboration with the College of the Rockies on Wednesday July 24, 2013.  This free workshop is open to researchers, coordinators, Steering Committee members and stakeholders interested in learning more about BRE implementation.  Learn more.

Indicator Literature Reviews Released

New indicators and approaches have evolved over the last 5 years. A series of literature reviews produced by the RDI research team outline opporutnities for future development of economic, social, cultural and environmental indicators. This literature review series and ongoing consultations with stakeholders across the region will help the RDI research team and partners plan for future State of the Basin development.  Learn more.

RDI Website Upgrades & Updates Coming Soon

As the RDI research agenda and related products expand, so must the RDI website.  The website will be updated during late July 2013 with new information on our research projects and research team, an expanded Resources Database, and new research products including community profiles and Business Retention and Expansion reports.  Check back in early August for a look at the expanded RDI website.

EVENTS

Dr. Terri MacDonald of the RDI will be presenting at the Canadian Association for Geographers conference in St. John's, Newfoundland on August 15, 2013 as part of a series on Canadian Regional Development: A Critical Review of Theory, Practice, and Potentials.  Terri's presentation will focus on the use of applied research and geospatial technologies to support regional development.
