Valemount and area with a population of approximately 1,900 is surrounded by the Rocky, Monashee, and Cariboo mountain ranges. Valemount is the home of Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, and at the watershed of the Fraser and Columbia Basins.
